I'm having a difficult time analyising a certain type of dream I have. They invariably begin with the act of "opening" my eyes. I am lying in bed and I am conscience that I am dreaming. I can then decide what to do within the dream at will. It takes a lot of concentration for me to direct the dreams but I've done things like go to my childhood home, walk around my existing home, talk to myself in the mirror, have sexual encounters with anyone I choose, etc. After awakening I feel exhausted and lately I have been getting a headache that lasts for hours. I don't think that it's an out of body experience because apparently people who have those see a silver cord and I've never seen it. I've been able to do this since puberty began but I don't feel any closer to understanding the nature of these dreams. Does anyone out there have a clue?
