Loosing Teeth

I have had dreams with a reoccuring theme of losing a tooth or many teeth. The times and places are not always the same or even the circumstances to which I have lost my teeth. However, there is the same thought process in every dream; I am in search of a dentist while either looking for a container of milk to store my tooth/teeth in or I keep it/them in my mouth. I never reach a dentist. I become frustrated with this fact that I can no longer stand the dream thus I wake myself up.
I am very curious to know what this might mean. I have had these dreams since mid-adolescence and they continue while I am in my mid-20's.
